Communities for every kind of gamer
Here you can find everything about our active communities within Zephyr besides our main competitive games. We are very proud of our members and their diverse interests, which is why we officially represent these interests through sub-communities: groups that share an interest in a game or type of game. Zephyr actively supports the advertisement and event hosting of sub-communities.

Making a sub-community
Why make a sub-community?
By making a sub-community you give your community a voice within Zephyr by selecting a representative, who provides a direct line of communication to the board and the Activities Committee. You will also get a community-specific role in the Discord for communication and hosting.
As an official sub-community you will get opportunities to show off your community at themed LAN evenings, and with the help of the board and the Activities Committee you can organise bigger and better events! Sub-communities are also advertised during the intro week, from which many new members may be interested in joining.
Requirements
We want the barrier to be as low as possible so as many sub-communities as possible can grow. All we require is one representative Zephyr member in charge at all times — the main contact person, responsible for the sub-community. If the representative wishes to quit, they either find a new representative or suspend the sub-community. We also hope someone from the sub-community is available during the intro and open training period to advertise it to potential new members!
How do I make one?
- Choose a name that encompasses what the sub-community represents.
- Select a representative, who will communicate with the Activities Committee (they manage the sub-communities).
- Submit an application with that information and explain why your interest should be a sub-community. Things to answer:
- What would you like to achieve (organise events, a group to play or hang out with, a competitive team)?
- Are there other Zephyr members with the same interest, or people who would join Zephyr for it? (estimate the number)
- How much time and effort are you willing to put in?
- The Activities Committee reviews the application and sends the verdict to the representative. If approved, we put the sub-community on our Discord, WhatsApp community and website. If denied, you get feedback in case you want to apply again.
